The gap between the world's wealthy and poor is widening, not diminishing,
as it should in circumstances of social equity and justice. International
Needs Monaco believes this goes against the Bible's message of love, care
and compassion for our neighbors. Are we as an affluent society doing our
very best to help those in less fortunate circumstances?
IN Monaco is committed to fighting injustice in our tired
and hurting world through sustainable development projects in
Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, the Philippines, and Romania.
Bangladesh: We are working with the Savar Children's Village
whose main purpose is to help the needy and destitute orphan
children of Bangladesh. We will be funding the restoration of an
orphanage and purchasing a high power motor pump to draw water up
to the ground level. This project costs 19.000 euros.
Bulgaria: IN Monaco has been supporting a Christian preschool in
the nation's capital, Sofia. Children have an opportunity to get a head start
in learning vital skills needed to excel in primary school. The New Generation Kindergarten
also provides community activities and programs to those less fortunate in this previously
communistic society, including a summer camp for orphans in government institutions. Our annual budget is 23.000 Euros.
Burkina Faso: Located in western Africa, Burkina Faso is among the poorest
nations in the world. IN Monaco supports Pastor Jean Kone in his leading of
4 churches and a secondary school. The school has over 200 students who otherwise
would have no educational opportunities. We support Jean for 600 euros per month.
The Philippines: Because of the large rural population, many in the Philippines do not
have access to sufficient medical care. IN Monaco is supporting five 2 day medical
mission trips into these rural areas. Our budget for this is 4600 euros.
Romania: We are supporting a church worker as he seeks to establish true religious
freedom in this previously communistic society.
India: IN Monaco was happy to participate in the building of a new school in Kalyani,
near Calcutta in 2008. We have raised over 17.000 Euros towards this building.
All of the children come from extremely poor families who would otherwise not be able to attend school.
Sri Lanka: After the devasting tsunami of 2004, many in Sri Lanka were left homeless.
IN Monaco was happy to support the construction of 50 new homes.
This project has been fully funded and the last few homes were completed in 2008.
is committed to fighting
injustice in our tired and hurting world through sustainable
development projects.

INBD International Needs Bangladesh
Renovation of Orphanage
Restoration of dorm, classroom bathrooms, toilet,
kitchen, dinning hall
Heavy duty motor pump
is working with
the Savar Children's Village
whose main purpose is to help the needy and destitute
orphan children of Bangladesh. We will be funding the
restoration of an orphanage and purchasing a high
power motor pump to draw water up to the ground
level.
Annual budget: €7206 Euros

Bangladesh is one of the world's poorest nations, suffering
from gross over-population and
periodic natural disasters such as devastating floods during monsoon
season and cyclones
usually accompanied by enormous loss of life. There seems little hope
that the poverty will
ever be substantially alleviated.
In 1988 the government declared Islam to be the state
religion. Officially there is religious
freedom, but this is being steadily eroded by Islamic pressure and a
legal system that gives
no safeguards to ethnic or religious minorities. The Islamic extremists
are a strong and
growing minority.
INBG International Needs Bulgaria
Christian Kindergarten: ages 0Ñ7
Community development: annual cost of
12,000 Euros which include:
Summer children's camp
Visitation of orphanages
Visitation of retirement homes
Summer English camp
Mother's clubs
Marriage seminars
Expansion of Kindergarten: €15,000
Total Annual budget: €27,000
Bulgaria surfaces in the international media in passing, at
best. It seems to scarcely exist for Europe's general
populace anymore.

Unemployment in Bulgaria stands officially at 18 percent, but
real unemployment is over 35 percent. The official
minimum wage is 79 EUR per month, and pensions for 44 years of service
amount to roughly 62 EUR. The cost
of heating a two-room apartment is 60 Euro per month, and electricity
is 15 Euro per month. A salami costs EUR
20, and a kilogram of pork is 10 EUR. Sixty five percent of the
population lives in poverty. Average monthly income
per capita is approx. EUR 200. Families need two incomes for adequate
living standard.

The services, especially for children, the weakest segments of
society, have been devastated. The children in
many orphanages and homes don't have enough to eat. The structures of
many of the homes are disintegrating.
In some homes, the children must be herded together because parts of
the building are in danger of collapsing.
The hygienic conditions are catastrophic. Buildings cannot be
maintained properly because of a lack of funds.
Education system is slowly being transformed and much under funded. It
is being recognized by the society that
quality Christian education has an key role to play in Bulgaria today.

INBF-International Needs Burkina Faso
Executive director: Jean Koné in charge of 4 churches,
1 secondary school in the city of Bobo
Annual budget: €7200
Burkina Faso (formerly Upper Volta) is a landlocked country
located in the middle
of West Africa's "hump." It is geographically in the Sahel--the
agricultural region
between the Sahara Desert and the coastal rain forests.
Burkina Faso achieved independence from France in 1960. Repeated
military
coups during the 1970s and 1980s were followed by multiparty elections
in the
early 1990s. Burkina Faso's high population density and limited natural
resources
result in poor economic prospects for the majority of its citizens.
Recent
unrest in Cote d'Ivoire and northern Ghana has hindered the ability of
several
hundred thousand seasonal Burkina farm workers to find employment in
neighboring countries.
INBF-International Needs India
IN Monaco is happy to fund the building of a new school. We
are sponsoring the construction and the school fees will enable the
school to be self-funding thereafter.
This project costs €17,083
[2008]

INPH International Needs Philippines
Medical Mission
Transportation fo 5 doctors/dentists
Surgical Items
Medicines and vitamins
Because of the large rural population, many in the Philippines
do not have access to sufficient medical care.
IN Monaco is supporting five 2-day medical mission
trips into these rural areas to provide minor surgeries,
medications and dental care.

The Philippines, officially the Republic of the Philippines,is
a nation located in
Southeast Asia, with Manila as its capital city. The Philippines
comprise 7,107
islands in the western Pacific Ocean, bordering countries such as
Indonesia,
Malaysia, Palau, and the Republic of China. The Philippines is the
world's 12th
most populous country with a population approaching 87 million people.

A Spanish colony from 1565 to 1898, the Philippines was ruled
by the USA
from 1898 until independence in 1946. After President Marcos declared
martial
law in 1971, political manipulation, mismanagement and abuse of civil
liberties
prevailed until democracy was restored in 1986. Alleviating the
widespread
poverty is a major challenge. The country enjoys freedom of religion
and is
Asia's only country with a Catholic majority.
INRO INTERNATIONAL NEEDS ROMANIA
IN Monaco is supporting Eugen Popescu as he establishes
churches in this previously
communist country. Romania began the transition from Communism in 1989
with a largely obsolete industrial base. Macroeconomic gains have only
recently
started to spur creation of a middle class and address Romania's
widespread poverty,
while corruption and red tape continue to handicap the business
environment.
Under Communism, manipulation and control of churches was oppressive,
with
severe persecution for those who refused to submit. Only 15 religious
groups are
officially recognized others can only operate as associations. Minority
groups find
that most persecution comes from the Orthodox Church rather than the
government
itself. Eugen Popescu seeks to establish true religious freedom for
those who
are pursuing spiritual interests.
Annual budget: €1980

Romania is a land rich in agriculture, minerals and oil but
plundered, impoverished
and polluted under Communism for the benefit of the elite.
Economic liberalisation since 1990 has been slow. Under Communism,
manipulation
and control of churches was oppressive, with severe persecution for
those who refused
to submit. A proposed bill on religious freedom contained policies as
strict as
any in the former Soviet Union, but this was withdrawn. Only 15
religious groups
are officially recognized ~ others can only operate as associations.

Youth in Romania spend a day together discussing life's
complicated
issues and what the Bible has to say about them.
INRO INTERNATIONAL NEEDS SRI LANKA
After the devasting tsunami of 2004, many in Sri Lanka were
left homeless. IN Monaco was happy to support the construction of 50
new homes. This project has been fully funded and the last few homes
are under construction.
This budget has already
been met by a generous donor [2008]
